And they would be right. Deep in the darkest corners of Amazon, we have found a few fabulous, creative ways to disguise our smart home devices. These cases aren’t only cute to look at, they protect the smart devices from indoor elements like dust, dog dander, candle scents lightly infused with lavender and lilies.

Good vibes ($13.02) — For Amazon Echo Dot 3rd generation, this Vsco Girl protective cover is easy to apply and remove. It comes in several styles you may want to swap out depending on your mood or the day. MightySkins says their product effectively protects your gear from dings, scrapes, dust and the wear and tear with its soft, vinyl skin cover.

Owl Echo Dot holder ($67.02) — Who gives a whoot! Compatible with the Echo Dot, 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation, this statue is said to be “crafted by skillful workers according to traditional statue craft,” making it a cute case for your dot or a piece of fine craft for your home.

Its porous design on the back allows for good sound quality. Customers who did reviews loved it. A few put a hockey puck underneath it to make it more sturdy. So wonderfully Canadian.

Echo Dot holder | Google Mini Stand ($43.42) —  Compatible with 2nd and 3rd Generation, this is a multifunctional delight. It comes with a faux succulent and rocks but you can ditch that and use the spot reserved for that to hold keys, candy or coins. Find cable storage underneath the stand and cable cord opening at the rear.

One customer bought some textured stone spray paint to transform the white finish into something of their own, starting with some automotive plastic primer paint. Definitely some creativity points. Others say the succulent almost looks real and, because it isn’t, you can keep your device in rooms where there ain’t no sunshine.
